EvTrack Visitor Management System Alternative

Entry2Exit is a visitor management system built in Dubai in 2015 and used as an alternative to EvTrack by organizations across the GCC and Europe. At the front desk and the gate it covers the same ground: pre-registration, ID and passport scanning, QR and face check-in, badge printing, host alerts, evacuation lists, and cloud or on-premise hosting. The difference is everything around the visitor. Parking, gate passes, work permits, dock scheduling, meeting rooms, hot desking, facility management and payments run on the same platform, and our own development team shapes all of it to the customer’s process.

This guide is for anyone with an EvTrack proposal on the desk, or about to ask for one. We won’t walk through their feature list. It is on their website, and they explain it better than we would. What follows is what Entry2Exit does, where the two products part ways, and a side-by-side table further down.

TLDR

  • Your requirement goes past the reception desk. About eight in ten visitor management enquiries we receive also involve parking, gate passes, meeting rooms or payments. Entry2Exit has a module for each, on one platform.
  • Your process is not standard. We build on an existing foundation and customize the rest, so you get a fitted system without paying for software written from zero.
  • You want the maker close by. Entry2Exit is built and supported from Dubai and Sharjah, with 24/7 support and a team that comes to your office.
  • You already own hardware. Cameras, barriers, turnstiles, readers and printers from most major brands stay where they are.

Why buyers look for an EvTrack alternative

EvTrack is a visitor management and access control platform developed in South Africa, with offices in Cape Town and Midrand. In the Gulf it is sold mainly through distributors and system integrators.

People usually start searching for an alternative of EVTrack one of four reasons.

The first is scope. The project started as “we need a visitor system” and then grew. Security wants material gate passes. Facilities wants the car park on the same dashboard. Finance wants parking revenue reconciled. A product centered on visitors and doors reaches its edge quickly.

The second is fit. Large groups, government entities and industrial sites rarely run a textbook process. They have approval chains, subsidiary structures and IT rules that a packaged product can only partly bend to.

The third is proximity. When something needs changing, buyers in the GCC want to talk to the people who write the code, in their own time zone, and ideally across a table.

The fourth is the quote. We cover pricing further down.

A visitor management enquiry is rarely only about visitors

Roughly 80% of the visitor management enquiries we receive turn out to involve something else as well. The visitor arrives by car, so parking comes into it. A contractor carries tools out of the building, so a gate pass comes into it. The guest is here for a meeting, so the room booking comes into it. Someone pays for parking, so payments come into it.

With a visitor-only product, each of those means a second vendor, a second login, a second support number, and an integration project to connect them. On Entry2Exit they are modules on one platform with one dashboard and one admin layer.

  • Parking management: ANPR cameras, barriers, custom tariffs, shopping validation, tenant bay allocation, and ticketless entry and exit.
  • Parking guidance: sensors and displays that send drivers to a free bay.
  • Gate pass and work permits: item and people passes with multi-level approval, QR-coded passes, and returnable and non-returnable tracking.
  • Dock and yard management: truck appointments, bay allocation and driver notifications for warehouses and plants.
  • Meeting room management: the room booking and the visitor invitation for that meeting sit in the same system.
  • Hot desking: floor plans, mobile booking and automatic release of no-show desks.
  • Facility and asset management: work orders, asset tracking and preventive maintenance.
  • Queue management: tokens and counter routing for service desks, clinics and collection points.
  • Access control integration, face recognition and AI surveillance: on new or existing hardware.
  • Custom Projects: Many times, instead of going with a stand alone product it is better for the customer to have something that is tailored to them.

Entry2Exit Payments

Payments sit inside the platform too. Entry2Exit Payment solutions takes tap and go cards, mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, QR payments, and handheld POS devices with receipt printing. Processing can run through your own bank or through our existing banking partners in the region. If your site charges for parking or any other service, the money and the access record land in the same report, which makes reconciliation far simpler for finance.

Built around your process

Entry2Exit is not a sign-up-and-go app, and we don’t compete with the self-serve SaaS tools that are. Our customers come with a custom requirement, and the job is to meet it with our experience and technical edge.

Admins define their own visitor types (contractors, vendors, VIPs, labor, drivers, consultants), and each type gets its own steps: ID scan, photo, health and safety questionnaire, induction with digital signature, second-level approval, badge color. Hosts, security and reception get the notifications they need and nothing else. The rest, the part no settings page anticipates, is handled by our developers.

A recent project shows the difference. A group with several subsidiaries came to us with a structure that a standard role menu doesn’t cover. They needed a super admin at the top, group managers who can see several subsidiaries, department heads below them, and supervisors below that. A branch admin opens the portal and sees only that branch. A super admin sees every branch and can click into any one of them. All of that is managed inside the application, and employees sign in with their Microsoft account, so their profile and branch arrive from the company directory the first time they log in.

Then came the harder question. Half of their employees sit in one Microsoft tenant and half in another, and they wanted single sign-on and role mapping across both. Their IT lead told us this is the kind of problem they hit with every software onboarding. We didn’t claim to have a checkbox for it. By the end of the call we had a workable route: their in-house application already authenticates both tenants, so it can act as the front door and hand the user over to Entry2Exit. They also asked us to recommend the process flow itself, which happens on most projects. Customers want a second opinion on the process as much as they want software.

Customization for us goes well past logos and colors. It means a team that sits with your IT department and works the product into how your organization already runs. Because we start from a foundation that has been in production since 2015, that fitted system costs far less than custom software normally does.

IDs, languages and regional detail

Entry2Exit reads national IDs and passports across the GCC and Europe. In the UAE that includes chip reading of the Emirates ID through an ICA reader, which returns 24 data points including photo, name, ID number, nationality and expiry, plus UAE Pass verification. Passports are scanned for name, number, nationality and expiry. Where a document can’t be read, security captures a photo of it so the record is still complete.

The interface runs in English, Arabic, French and the other major European languages. If you need a language that isn’t there yet, our team adds it, so the visitor-facing screens speak the visitor’s language whether the site is in Riyadh or Paris.

Visitors and hosts are reached on the channel they use: WhatsApp, SMS, email or app notification. Visitors can also check in through a WhatsApp conversation with no app to download, which matters in a region where WhatsApp is the default way to reach anyone.

On data, the platform has privacy, access logging and retention controls aligned with GDPR and regional requirements. For organizations that can’t put visitor data on someone else’s cloud, there are three hosting choices: your own on-premise server, your own private cloud, or a managed cloud hosted by us.

Entry2Exit’s Integration Ecosystem

Entry2Exit is brand agnostic. Turnstiles, glass doors, elevator doors, face readers, fire alarm panels, badge printers, passport scanners, kiosks, iPads and Android tablets all connect through the same open integration framework. So do Outlook, Active Directory, and HR, ERP and access control systems through open APIs.

For a buyer moving off another system, that means the cameras, barriers, turnstiles and readers usually stay where they are. You change the software layer and keep the investment. If a device isn’t on our list yet, we build the integration.

Since 2015: the projects behind the product

Entry2Exit has been in production since 2015. It has processed more than 5 million visitors across 200+ locations in more than four countries, and capacity has grown about 30% a year.

The client list includes ADNOC, DP World, Shell, Siemens Energy, Al Futtaim, Chalhoub Group, Marriott, Hilton, St. Regis, Rosewood, Palazzo Versace, GEMS Education, Taaleem, Fly Dubai, Noon, Talabat, Network International, CEVA Logistics, Fonterra and Al Zahra Hospital. Public-sector and government-linked sites run on the platform too, among them Ajman Port, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, Umbrella Beach in Fujairah, Dubai World Trade Centre and Emirates Palace.

Those names matter for one reason. Oil terminals, ports, hospitals, schools, five-star hotels and government entities each have their own security rules and their own way of working. Every one of those projects left something behind in the product: an approval step, an integration, a report. A new customer starts with all of it.

Support is 24/7. Our team will come to your office and explain the technical parts in plain terms.

Pricing: why our quote usually comes in lower

Neither company publishes a price list, because projects like these are quoted to scope. So we won’t throw numbers around. We can explain why Entry2Exit tends to be the better deal.

You are not paying for custom software from scratch. We build from a foundation that already handles most of what you need, and the custom part is priced as the difference.

You keep your hardware. A quote that doesn’t include new cameras, barriers and readers is a smaller quote.

You buy one platform. When parking, gate pass or meeting rooms come up next year, they are modules on the system you already have, with the same support contract and the same login. Buying and integrating a second product almost always costs more than adding a module.

You stay close to the maker. Whether you buy from us or through one of our partners, the people who write the code are one call away, and changes don’t travel through a chain of intermediaries.

The fair test is simple. Ask both vendors to quote the same scope, including the modules you expect to need in year two. We are comfortable with that comparison.

Entry2Exit vs EvTrack: side-by-side comparison

Both products handle core check-in well: ID scanning, QR invitations, badges, face and plate recognition, watchlists, cloud or on-premise hosting. We have left those rows out because they won’t decide anything. The table covers the points where the two differ.

EvTrack details come from its public website and distributor pages as of September 2026. “Not listed” means we could not find it published, not that it cannot be done. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

If all you need is visitor check-in tied to an access control system, and you already work with their distributor, EvTrack will do that job. If the requirement is wider than that, or likely to become wider, the table explains why buyers move to Entry2Exit.

Switching from EvTrack to Entry2Exit

  1. Requirement call. You walk us through your sites, visitor types, approval chains and IT rules. Bring the awkward parts. They are the reason to have the call.
  2. Process flow recommendation. We come back with a recommended flow for each visitor type, so you can see the design before anything is built.
  3. Demo on your workflow. The demo runs on your categories, your approvals and your branches rather than a generic tour.
  4. Hardware survey. We list what stays, which is usually most of it, and what needs adding, if anything.
  5. Setup and migration. Employee lists come in through Active Directory, and we plan the move of existing records with you.
  6. Go live and training. Our team is on site for launch, and support is 24/7 after that.

Entry2Exit Visitor Management System

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to EvTrack?
Entry2Exit is the best EvTrack alternative for organizations in the GCC and Europe that need visitor management together with parking, gate passes, meeting rooms or payments, or that need the system customized to their own process. It has been in production since 2015 and runs at 200+ locations.

Is Entry2Exit cheaper than EvTrack?
Both are quoted per project, so there is no public price to compare. Entry2Exit usually works out lower in total because it reuses your existing hardware, builds on an existing foundation, and adds modules without a second vendor.

Can we switch to Entry2Exit without replacing our hardware?
In most cases, yes. Entry2Exit is brand agnostic and works with cameras from ISS, Hikvision, Dahua, SSK and Axis, barriers from BFT, Nice and KME, and most turnstiles, readers and badge printers. Missing integrations are built by our team.

Which IDs can Entry2Exit scan?
Entry2Exit scans national IDs and passports across the GCC and Europe. In the UAE it reads the Emirates ID chip through an ICA reader and supports UAE Pass.

Which languages does Entry2Exit support?
Entry2Exit supports English, Arabic, French and the other major European languages. Custom languages are added by our team on request.

Can Entry2Exit be installed on-premise?
Yes. Entry2Exit can run on your on-premise server, on a private cloud you own, or on a managed cloud hosted by Entry2Exit.
