How St. Regis runs visitor and key management on one system
Entry2Exit deployed its visitor management system, with a key management module, at a St. Regis residence in the UAE. This is the third property we have secured for the Marriott group. We took the front desk off paper logbooks and put visitor check-in, key tracking, and full reporting on one system, all on an on-premise server.

The deployment in short
A quick summary of the client, the site, and what Entry2Exit put in place at the front desk.
About St. Regis
St. Regis is a luxury brand under Marriott International. This property is a residential building, home to residents and their guests. A building like this sees steady movement at the entrance, all day and into the night.
Residents, guests, delivery drivers, and contractors come and go. The front desk has to know who entered, when, and why. It also has to keep track of keys. In a residence, metal keys and access key cards move between the desk and residents often, and each handover needs a clean record.
For a property of this standard, the people behind the desk need fast answers and a record they can trust. That is what the team was looking for when they came to us.

A third project for the Marriott group

St. Regis did not come to us cold. They had already seen the Entry2Exit visitor management system running at two other Marriott-owned properties, a Marriott residence and a W Residences site. Both run smoothly today, and the security teams there work with the system every day.
Because of that, St. Regis knew how we work and how well the system runs before this project started. When they decided to bring the same setup to this residence, they came back to us. This is the third property we have secured under the Marriott group, and the next step as they roll the system out across more of their buildings.
Why customers stay with Entry2Exit
In the industry, there are plenty of visitor management products that companies try out, but they always require a more robust solution. At the same time, we are proud to say that our customers never switch to a different product after choosing us. This is due to the ability of Entry2Exit to customize our solution and package it in a way that is very open for integrations, so that even in the future, if a new requirement comes on top of it, we are able to deliver. And this has given us a lot of opportunities to work with the GCC's biggest brands, such as the Marriott. This is their third property we have worked with. The reason for them to choose Entry2Exit each time is a testament to what we do as a company. And we are proud to say that we have a client base that is very reputable and known in the industry, such as the Marriott chain of properties. And we wish to continue serving them in the future as well.
A paper front desk that was hard to keep up with
Before Entry2Exit, the residence ran its front desk on paper. Staff wrote every visitor into a logbook by hand. They tracked keys the same way, noting by hand who took a key and when it came back.
It was hectic. On a busy residential building, the desk handles visitors, deliveries, and key handovers at the same time. Paper made all of it slow, and it made records hard to find later. If a question came up weeks afterwards, someone had to read back through the books page by page.
Keys were the bigger gap. With a handwritten note, there was often no clear record of who held a key at a given time, or whether it had come back at all. For a residential building, that is the kind of detail the desk needs to be sure about.
| Old method | Main pain | What it covered | Record quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Handwritten paper logbooks | No clear record of who held a key, and slow lookups | Visitors, deliveries, and key handovers | Hard to read, hard to report on |
Visitor and key management on one system
Entry2Exit set up its system at the front desk and shaped it around how the residence works. Everything runs on one platform, on a server kept inside the building.
On-premise setup
An Android tablet and a laptop sit at the front desk. The data is held on an on-premise server, so it stays inside the building and under the team's control.
Visitor and delivery check-in
Staff log visitors and deliveries in a few taps. Every entry is saved with its time and details, so the desk has one clean record instead of a logbook.
Key management module
The same system tracks metal keys and access key cards. Each key is logged when it goes out and when it comes back, with a signature on file.
Full reporting
The team pulls reports by date, name, visitor type, or key, all from one place. The standard visitor reports come built in, plus a custom report for keys.
Visitors, deliveries, and keys all sit on the same system, so staff work from one screen instead of separate books. The software was shaped around how this residence runs, from its visitor types to the way it hands out keys.

How key management works
This is the part that set the project apart from a standard visitor setup. The residence needed to track keys as closely as it tracks people, so we built the key handovers into the same system the staff already use.
The module handles two kinds of keys, metal keys and access key cards, on one screen. The flow is the same for both.
Alongside the standard reports, we built a custom report just for keys. It shows when a key was given out, when it came back, and who signed for it. The same applies to both metal keys and access key cards. If a question ever comes up about a key, the answer is on one screen.
Built on Entry2Exit's own platform
We could add key management to the visitor system because the whole Entry2Exit platform is our own product. There is no outside dependency, so we can shape the system in whatever way a client needs.
We also use an open integration framework. That means we stay agnostic of the hardware brands a client wants to use, so the residence is not locked to one supplier. When a client needs something specific, like the custom key report here, we build it.
This is the same way we work with hotels, residences, and enterprise sites across the UAE and the wider GCC. The product is ours, the customisation is ours, and the support comes from one team.
Built around each customer's requirements
An interesting thing about the kind of projects we do are almost all customers will have their own unique requirements. And since we have worked with thousands of enterprises over the years, our software is highly capable of providing any kind of customizations that the customer wants. In most cases, we already have the modules that they require, which only requires minor customizations. But in some cases, a full-fledged new feature will be added so that the customers can use the product as they intend to use it.
The result for the residence
The front desk runs the same way it always has. What changed is the record sitting behind it.
Records are easy to find
A search by date or name returns any visitor or key in seconds, not pages of handwriting.
Keys are accounted for
The system shows who holds each key right now, for both metal keys and access key cards.
Signed handovers
Every key handover has a signature on file, so each one is acknowledged and on record.
Data stays on site
The system runs on an on-premise server, so the residence keeps its data inside the building.
Reporting is built in
The team pulls clean reports for visitors, deliveries, and keys whenever they need to look back.
Ready for the next site
The same setup can roll out to more Marriott properties as the group expands it across buildings.
Note from the deployment lead
This was our third project with the Marriott group, so we knew the team and they knew us. That made the work easy from the start. They had already seen the system run at two of their other sites, so we were not starting from scratch on trust.
The residence wanted more than visitor check-in. They wanted to track keys the same way, with a clear record of who took what and when it came back. Because Entry2Exit is our own product, we added the key management module and a custom key report on top of the visitor system, all on one screen for the staff.
We set it up on an on-premise server so their data stays inside the building. Seeing the system already running well at two earlier sites made this one straightforward, and we were happy to bring the same service here.
Working with the St. Regis team
It was an absolute pleasure for our team to work on this project, and St. Regis team has been really cooperative throughout the deployment. Our technical team, the on-ground staff, and the consultants are really happy with how the project turned out. And we have received great feedback from the customer's side as well.
Common questions about this deployment
How did the St. Regis residence manage visitors before Entry2Exit?
The residence ran its front desk on paper. Staff wrote each visitor into a logbook by hand and tracked keys the same way. It was hectic on a busy day, and old records were hard to find.
