About The Curve Building

The Curve Building is a modern retail centre on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. Its car park has 200 parking spaces and serves customers, visitors, and staff around the clock.

For a retail centre, parking is the first and last part of every visit. Drivers want to get in quickly, pay without hassle, and leave without waiting at the barrier. The building wanted a car park that runs smoothly for visitors and is easy for the team to manage.

The Project

Smart parking for a modern retail centre

Entry2Exit implemented its parking management system for The Curve Building in Dubai, a modern retail centre designed for smooth visitor access and efficient parking operations.

The system includes Dahua ANPR integration, automated barrier access, and support for QR, card, tap-and-go, and handheld cash payments with instant receipt generation.

Ticketless entry with ANPR

Dahua ANPR cameras read every number plate at entry and exit. There is no ticket to collect, lose, or pay for at a machine.

Automated barrier access

BFT smart barriers open on their own once a plate is read at entry, and once payment is confirmed at exit.

Digital payments

An Entry2Exit payment kiosk with tap-and-go stands on site. Drivers can also pay by QR code, debit or credit card, mobile wallets, or contactless, whichever is easiest for them.

Handheld cash payments

For drivers who prefer cash, the on-site guard takes payment on a SUNMI handheld device and prints an instant receipt.

Advanced reporting

Reports show how many cars came in, the total amount collected, the payment methods used, every number plate, and the type of each vehicle. Everything can be checked by date, including how much free parking was given.

How It Works

A visit to The Curve car park

The driver arrives at the entrance. The Dahua ANPR camera reads the plate and logs the entry time, and the BFT barrier opens. No ticket needed.
The driver parks in an organized, well-lit bay, with a security guard and CCTV watching over the car park.
Staff always park for free. For the public, the first 15 minutes are free, so quick stops and drop-offs need no payment.
After 15 minutes, parking is 10 AED per hour. The driver pays at the Entry2Exit payment kiosk with tap-and-go, by QR code, card, or mobile wallet, or in cash to the guard on the SUNMI handheld, with an instant receipt.
At the exit, the plate is read again. The system checks the payment status and the driver's role, then opens the barrier.
Parking Fees

Custom Parking Fee Logic

The Curve Building's parking lot handles hundreds of vehicles every single day, and they needed a robust mechanism to ensure the parking fee is paid correctly, as well as the ability to customize the fees themselves without any technical assistance. For this, the custom parking fee logic in Entry2Exit's payment solutions is perfect.

With this module, they are able to customize the parking fee based on time duration, as well as roles and more. For the staff, it's free parking forever. For the public, the first 15 minutes are free. After the first 15 minutes, there is a parking fee of 10 AED per hour. This is fully configurable by the admin.

During rush periods or festive days, they can tweak the parking fee accordingly if they wish to control the crowd, give free parking for all, or better monetize their spaces. This control gives them the ability to make changes without any delay or help from outside.

Consultant's Notes

Working on The Curve Building's parking project was a very pleasant experience. The site is very popular in that location, so it is almost always packed. We knew the solution must be capable of handling hundreds or thousands of vehicles per day without any issues. Their requirement was also to enforce monetization for the parking lot, which was done manually before this.

For this, the solutioning from our side was simple. We used BFT gate barriers on the entry and exit gates and paired them with Dahua ANPR cameras for detecting the number plates. Our system logs everything and grants or restricts access to vehicles according to their payment status and their roles.

As for the payment layer, we used our own solution, Entry2Exit Payment Solutions, by installing a standing kiosk with tap-and-go functionality. We also enabled the security guard to collect cash payments and provide customers with a receipt using a SUNMI handheld device.

The team at Entry2Exit is happy knowing that the customer is very satisfied with the parking management system.
