Helpful Tips
Tips for Parking at Umbrella Beach
Weekends fill up fast
Friday and Saturday evenings are the busiest window here. Come before 5 PM if you want a bay near the play areas rather than the far end of the lot.
Note your plate, not a ticket
There is no paper ticket to lose. The camera reads your plate on the way in, so payment is tied to the vehicle and the exit barrier opens once the fee is cleared.
Pay before you walk back to the car
Scanning the QR while you are still near the cafes saves you sitting in the exit queue while the car behind waits.
Cooler months, longer stays
Between October and April people stay for hours rather than minutes, so plan for the hourly rate beyond your free hour and check the timer if you are watching the budget.
